Question Access Registry on Old System Disk?

My new system has a new system disk and the system disk from the old system is mounted as a data disk.

I'm wondering if there is a way to get some things out of the registry on the old system disk and insert them into the registry on the new system disk.

Maybe regedit could be used but I don't know how to get regedit to open the old registry.

You should be able to open regedit then select file and import point to the old file and load it take care you dont save it with all the old reg. If you find somthing you want export the key and you can then load it back after

To close this out..... I decided NOT to try and access the old registry. The various suggestions I got here (and other places) seemed a bit iffy and maybe to error prone for me. So, I just recreated some of the most important info I needed and moved on.
Anyway, thanks for the replies...
