Thats ok, so what irll do is just keep the motherboard i have and transfer the whole lot accross into the new tower, i cant mess anything up really doing that can i ?

It shouldn't. The biggest thing I'd worry about is if you're transferring quite a bit of stuff whether or not your power supply can handle it or not. If you have a decent sized power supply though it shouldn't be a problem.

Do you have onboard sound or are you using a sound card? If it's onboard, did you go to the motherboards website and download the drivers for it? In device manager, what does it say under sound? Any yellow exclamations?

You could try going to control panel->sound->playback tab and click on speakers and see if you have them configured properly.
If all else fails, a 5.1 surround sound card is less than $10 or ~ 6 pounds since you're from england. |
