windows xp pro not a valid copy of windows?
I have a dell Dimension 2300 that i use to run my magic jack, and halo servers on. I got this PC from a friend of mine about a year ago, and now it all of the sudden says it is not a valid copy of windows. i never messed with the product key. so i have no idea why its doing this. Should i just reinstall it with the CD that came with it?

It says windows Xp pro on it. I have actually reinstalled the PC with it before, and it is a full install of Windows XP pro.

I do not doubt that fact but the fact is that it is coming up with this message yes?

Yes ever since i turned on that computer today there was a message down by the taskbar that said you may be a victim of software counterfeiting. this copy of windows did not pass genuine validation.

All I can suggest Bee is that you purchase a fully licensed copy of XP and do a brand new install.
But I would still like to see the WGA log.
