hello people how is everyone? i just tried to change my xp theme back to default and now everything went black. I still see all my icons but when i load a window its black with just little folder icons everywhere. i cannot see any text anywhere when i open a window or right click to open up properties or things. just wondering if there is a way to change my theme or text color within xp without opening a window.

Ok, this is going to be kind of a rough one to fix and it'll be easier if you have a second computer to look at while you're doing it. What you need to do would be easy if you could see it. All you need to do is right click on the desktop and click where properties should be (hence having another computer) and when the box comes up where you would normally change your theme you need to change the theme back to either the windows xp theme or the windows classic theme and then click the apply button all of which will be all black. Once you change back to the xp or classic theme you'll be fine again.

Boot into Safe Mode, and do a System Restore to a restore point before you messed the settings up...
