Exclamation Re: Wake on LAN - Standby

Hi Spruce004,

I had the exact same problem as yours until I did the following...
1. Right click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
3. In Device Manager, Double Network Adapters.
4. Right-click your network adapter, and then click Properties
5. On the Power Management tab, click to select Allow this device to
bring the computer out of standby check box, and then click to
select the Only allow management stations to bring the computer
out of standby check box.
6. Click ok, then close Device manager and System Properties.

Hope this helps to solve your problem. It did on my pc - HP Xp Home Edition with SP3 service pack.
