Last post was for DCiAdmin. Crush, YES!!!!! It looks exactly like that. The world's most boring theme... and if this laptop ever had the default Windows XP theme then it does not now (I bought it secondhand) It has no recovery mechanism other than absent disks.

DCiAdmin, Its my fault as I am not being clear, but I am looking for the entire theme and not just the wallpaper. Coloured taskbars, fancy windows, the hole nine yards... all the options one finds in Display Properties. Your file path may prove very useful...

For what it's worth di4charles, your hijackthis log is clean

You could try the sfc /scannow command from Start / Run.

Seeing as you have a Toshiba laptop it may not works, as it requires you to put the OS disk into the drive.

You might get lucky if the i386 folder is on the C drive though...

There's an interesting website which I'm sure you've all visited at www.hijackthis.de where you can very simply paste in your HijackThis log and get automated results. It seems quite accurate.

Crush was correct, mine was clean.
