CrystalClear - what is in your your Startup folder?

most of my programs, if i can understand question correctly... 55 entries. what yould you have me do?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. There is a folder in All Programs called Startup. What is in that?

Adobe Gamma Loader.exe
Adobe Reader Speed Launch
Microsoft office
Logitech desktop messenger
Nokia Nseries PC suite

Okay, nothing there. Let's get aggressive with this if you don't mind. Please be very careful following the next instruction as I am going to ask you to search the registry and perhaps edit it if this URL is found.

Backing up the Registry prior to making changes is ALWAYS a good idea. Instructions from Microsoft for that procedure are found here.

Now, Start -> Run -> type regedit {enter}

Now in Registry Editor -> Edit -> Find -> paste this URL http://count.zcominc.com/link/count.php?id=94&out=1

IF you find that key in your search, highlight and delete ONLY the Entry that contains the URL. What I mean is only delete what is provided with the find - don't delete a key higher or lower.

Press F3 to continue the search.

i searched... twice. cannot find it (or see it, if it's there somewhere... but if it was, shouldn't i be able to see it? )

Try it without the Http://

If still nothing, exit out of the Registry Editor. Go to Start -> Run -> msconfig. Manually review the tabs there for this entry. Uncheck it if found.
