Hi

I have previously been using XP but recently had to change my PC the new one of course has Vista installed which seems really really slow. My question is if I were to reformatt the hard drive and install XP professional onto the PC would this speed things up?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

In most cases I would say yes but it down to other issues like what you load at startup memory CPU etc but the main reason Vista failed is that its slow.

You could wait for windows 7 and try that as its quicker
