I'm trying to install Win XP on a brand new 640 GB Hard Drive. And I used the quick install and regular to load the software. (The regular install did nothing) I get a Black screen after the computer restarts and it says "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuels for additional information." I have Windows XP installed on this system before but the old hard drive quit. Does anyone have a reccomendations?

Please confirm.

1. You boot from the CD

2. You have partitioned the drive

3. You have formatted the drive fully

all before the XP installation starts.
