i tried to partition my pc but halfway there i changed my mind since it was something i didn't really need and doing it for the first time seemed risky... now i know i didn't finish the process but i don't know whether some sort of partition has been created thus taking up disk space and ram (which i gave away). if there is someone who could tell me how can i find whether there is a partition now or not and if there is how can i get rid of it i would be grateful. please help

Hello Vagelakos! Welcome to PCHF
![]() We have a fantastic team of dedicated technicians from all across the globe who I am sure will be able to give you the answers you seek! Could you please tell us what operating system you are using? And did you use the Windows facility for resizing partitions or did you use 3rd party software? Thanks for your patience ![]() Smokeycheech |

Hello again Vagelakos, thank you for your response.
As far as I can tell it is a virtual partition. This is not my area of expertise so I will mark it as open for others to look. I personally would recommend using windows to create a partition, here is a link with instructions on how to do it if you want to give it a try? ![]() http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000 Regards, Smokeycheech

Sun's Virtual Box does not partition hard drives as it is not partitioning software.
It makes a virtual drive with what ever OS you wanted to use, and puts this into the My Documents folder with a name similar to My Virtual Drives where it can be deleted with no ill effects...
