MyWhy,

Let's run CCleaner. This will clear out all the .tmp files, and some junk that you don't need to have on your HD.

Run CCleaner
  1. Please download and install CCleaner.
  2. Once installed, double click on the desktop shortcut created.
  3. On the Windows tab, leave the default options alone.
  4. On the Applications tab, check (tick) all the boxes except Saved Form Information. This will remove all your saved passwords if you leave this box checked.
  5. Click on the Run Cleaner button at the bottom right hand corner.
  6. Close CCleaner.

Note: You can use CCleaner on a regular basis, to keep your hard drive clean of temporary files and clutter. I recommend running it once a month.

MyWhy10,

if i delete all the music from my itunes but keep it on the drive will it clear up my 5 gigs of music off my pc
Please realize that you don't delete the music from iTunes but repoint the iTunes to the Flash Drive to play the music from there.

In order to clear the space on the hard drive, you would then need to remove the music from the local hard disk. The My Music folder is found in \Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\My Music

EDIT: BEFORE deleting anything from the local My Music folder, DO ensure that you have iTunes playing correctly from the flash drive
