Default Restoration Unsuccessful

I deleted a video file accidentally.... i wanted to restore.......

I tried 2 times .......but it failed.......

Why system restore failed ?

Another question : If we have done a system restore one time...after that should we must check that box --- Turn off system restore on all drives or it should remain unchecked as we used restore?

Davesam,

System Restore will NOT recover data, music, or video files that you have deleted. It is a SYSTEM restore and takes care of Operating System issues primarily.

If you wish to be able to recover your system from earlier points in time, you should leave System Restore enabled.

May I suggest that you give Recuva a try?

Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery - Home

Nothing "happens" if a restore point is deleted. That just becomes a date that you cannot use for System Restore.

Many reasons possible, none specific. The restore point wasn't really good for some reason.....

May I consider this FIXED?
