well after suffering about a month regarding disk failture inmy d:
i figured out a way by check my disk for errors
after the diskcheckup i found that the the drive that once had 7gb free space nowhadonly about 1.5 gb space lefti tried to check the diskagain but the space remained untouched
the dickcheckup took place after restarting the system before the welcome screen it dd not take placein windows as itshowed the following message
"the disk check could not be performed because the disk utility needs exclusive access to some windows files onthedisk . thesefiles canonly be scaned by restarting windows"

Go here and get Treesize Free, then install and run it and check your D: partition to see where your 6 gigs went to...

well that also did not help its showing me that i have used 9688.1 mb and the rest is free

I suggest you run it again, and take more time in your checking of the D: partition folders and files. I run this yesterday, and picked up 4 gigs from a file that should not have been in folder that it was in...
