Default Speedtest.net gives me an error now

Ok, so I switched to time warner cable internet. Everything was going fine. I went on speedtest.net and my connection was fast. When I signed up with time warner I was able to download free virus software and firewall. The program is called Ca Security Center. Ever since then I get an error when I use speedtest.net. How do I fix this? I have even tried to unistall and turn off my Ca security Center, but I still have issues.

My main worry is that my computer isnt going as fast as it should. But I want to be able to check my speed, but I cant.

Hi and welcome to PCHF

First, try a speedtest.net check in Safe-Mode (with networking)..and see what comes back.

How do you switch to safe mode?

When I try to uninstall CA Security Center it lets me uninstall everything except the firewall. It says I need to be the administrator... But I am the owner of this computer.

As you boot up your PC, keep tapping F8. You'll be presented with a menu - select "Safe Mode with Networking" from that list.

I am the administrator and when I try to unistall everything, it wont let me uninstall the firewall I downloaded. It says Warning w9011. Then says I should try signing in as the administrator.

You don't need to uninstall anything to follow my advice in the second post. Please do this first so that we can see if you have an issue with connectivity or software.

It worked in safe mode, but my download rate wasn't half as fast. Before I installed the software my speed was this.. http://www.speedtest.net/result/461299751.png
