Too funny about the fridge. We have had the RV out for only a fuel tank fill-up and a picnic. Brought it home and parked it - decided to try the fridge. Too bad the RV wasn't exactly level

We blew our fridge out that way. I'm about to replace it with a dorm sized electric fridge. I choked when I called the RV service center to ask the price of repair or replace - $900 - $1200! I could get one devil of a good fridge for the house for that price. LOL
Durn things!
ha ha join the fun of R.V'ing,, I paid $950 for a new on but you have to remember, they work on BOTH propane or 120 electric, some of the old ones like mine worked on what they call 3-way , the two mentioned above plus 12v D.C. which means it can operate while your going down the road off of your alternator or battery if you stop at a rest stop, all newer motor homes don't have it and remember,, NEVER have any appliance on, ie; Refrig, Stove or even your heater as it is a big big fire and safety hazzard and most states it is aganst the law to have propane turned on while travleing. The motor home I have now, '99 Fleetwood Bounder has only the two way and most all R.V.'s are that way now adays as they stay pretty cold while traveling as long as you don't keep opening the door to get drinks, snack and etc,, out. people that have kids usually keep a small ice checst handy for those items saving the cold for the fridg. You'll have fun I know you will. Also another tip,, ALWAYS keep the gas tannk FULL when you store it, it will eliminate a lot of condensation from forming in the tank. Keep a close eye on tire pressure at all times, checking them when they are cold.
