Hello all,
I have a customer with the following error;
java.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x500bf974" referenced memory at "0x00000e7f". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
This error will occur as soon as ANY user on the machine logs in for the first time ONLY from a fresh reboot/boot up (sometimes the error with even appear before logging in i.e. still at the Welcome to Windows logon scrren). I have tried re-installing Java, unchecking any java related services/programs from startup in msconfig and checked the following registry keys;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServices
There are no programs in the Startup menu that I can see that could potentially need Java.
Here is a list additional programs (other than a standard machine) the machine has installed;
- Pharos
- Oracle
- Office 2007
- SAP
- Adobe Photoshop
This is really bugging me and would love to get it sorted - any ideas / advice would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Bernie
