I recently bought a new motherboard and CPU because the pins in my CPU were bent and broken and preventing me from seeing a signal on my monitor.

When I start my computer up, everything works fine..Ive looked in the BIOS and saw that it detected 2 USB devices(keyboard+mouse). But when it gets to the Windows XP loading screen, the lights on my keyboard and the laser on my mouse turn off and they don't work when windows loads up.

Any solutions?

have you tried removing them during startup and then plugging them in once the pc has full loaded ?

Ahh new mainboard.

Can you switch to a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to get you started.

Once you are up and running you can then reinstall the software for the mouse and keyboard.

However a possibility is use a PS/2 keyboard and mouse and make sure you have enabled USB devices in BIOS.
