Default REALLY Loud Beeping Noises?!

Hey everyone,

I have this problem; whenever I'm playing a game or something and I hit a couple of keys by accident my computer makes a really loud beep, even if my sound is muted. Why is it doing that?? And how do I turn it off?

P.s. I've experimented and found out it only happens when I press an F1-F12 button + another button.

Thanks.

Welcome to the site,

The noise is a warning to let you know that you have pressed more than two keys simultaneously. To turn it off, you could run the following command;

Start > run > type in cmd {and press enter} > type net stop beep {and press enter}

To permanently have the beep stopped, simply put this into a batch file and run it at startup.
