Default boot devices disabled

I was trying to reformat my gateway pc and deleted the hard drive partition, now my pc wont boot. It can not find the boot device. When I get into bios it states that all the boot devices are disabled including the hard drive. Anyone know how the enable the device or otherwise fix this problem?

when you tried to format . what way did you start the process ?some pc's have a built in feature to restore the pc to the state you bought it in , if you never used this programm , do you have a genuine operating system disc? if so put the disc in the cd-rom drive , go back to the bios set the change the bootup sequence to the drive your disc is in and restart the pc , this will give you the option to repair or do a full format of the drive

I tried that, but in bios, in the boot device list, both cd rom are disabled as well as the hard drive and the floppy as well. That happened when I tried to reformat the pc with the operating system cd that came with the computer. I deleted the partition on the hard drive and that's when I got
all the problems.

Does your BIOS state enable or disable boot devices?
