Default Internet Problems -"memory could not be read"

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me!

My laptop has been running fine until yesterday when i was experimenting with various programs to transfer my music from my iPod touch to my laptop.

Since then I get the following errors on start up:

KService.exe
The instruction at "0x7c918fea" referenced memory at "0x01c9b706". The memory could not be "written"
I seem to be getting lots of variations of the above, some with "read" instead of "written" and for different processes

Once I have clicked OK through all those errors my computer runs fine accept for anything which requires the internet.

IE7 won't load, it just opens a browser window and immediately closes it.
MS Outlook will not send and receive
Windows Live Messenger won't load
4oD thinks its offline
Firefox works fine up to a point and then closes with a similar the memory could not be "read" error.

I have run ad-aware and malwarebytes, both have found nothing.

Do I have a virus? Or is my registry damaged?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Luke

if you found nothing using malware and and adware i would try a system restore ( if you have it turned on ) to see if that solves the problem , if it doesnt i would run some of the tools on this site and have the security experts have a look at the logs mate

Well it appears I know a lot less about computers than i think i do!!

I had never heard of system restore but I searched for it, clicked the day before the problems began, and now problem solved.

Thanks very much for your help!
