Default Video files not playing.

The problem is videos don't play on my PC. I recently had to format my PC's C drive and have installed Windows XP SP3 (64bit is what I was told my the technician). .wmv files does not play in Windows Media Player. I installed KMplayer, VLC player and also CCPA codec. Still none of the videos files play. Whenever I try to play a video the system becomes extremly slow as if it were hung. Music files play properly.
Other details about my PC are : Pentium4, 1.5GB RAM, XFX GeForce 6200LE graphic card 256MB
Please help me out with this.

Default Re: Video files not playing.

I use and recommend the K-Lite Standard codec pack, in preference to the CCCP.

Uninstall CCCP before installing K-Lite though.

Go here for it... K-Lite
