Angry I am at a loss never had this problem

I built a new HTPC here are specs

MSI K9n Platinum SLI motherboard
AMD X2 6000+
2GB OCZ Special Ops Camo PC2 6400 800mhz
Maxxtor 500GB SATA II HD
PNY Geforce 8500GT 512MB PCI-E Video Card

The problem i am having is completely new to me. Have been working on computers and am a graphic designer and autocad. So i know what i am talking about so post up as tech as you can please

I first started out with a Vista x86 install Spent a long time getting everything setup with movies and everything and about 3 days after the unit was compete. It froze mid movie. Was playing a .mkv file through Window media center.

So i check temps of everything inside case and nothing was abnormal was actully the coolest it had been running since my house is cooler downstairs.

So i turn it off and when it reboots i get a blue screen of death on boot up after vista logo boot. During the blue screen it dumps physical memory and restarts and continues to do this. I tried windows vista install cd to repair still didnt work.

I delete partion reformat(not quick format) and resinstall vista within 2 days same thing happens. So i am thinking it is Windows Vista.

I Find my older Windows xp Media center edition cd and install that and apply all latest SP and patches. And 2 days after it blue screens and restarts again out of no where. After a few restarts it says somthing about missing /system cant boot and restarts again

At this point i have no clue what to do.
(sorry for the wall of txt)

Thanks for any help you can give.

Also didnt realize u had a BSOD section if this needs to be moved please do Also since i have no access to minidump files dont think Hopefully someone can help.

Howdy CrappyDay and Welcome to PCHF

Now that is weird that it always happens on day 2...

What size is your PSU?

Have you played around in the BIOS and changed the hard drive Priority etc..

Have you checked your SMART status on your hard drive?

The do a fresh install. (Quick Format is ok)
DBAN Download | Darik's Boot And Nuke
