Windows XP/2000 - motherboards posted in the Operating Systems forums; How old does a motherboard need to be before you CAN'T install XP? I understand the RAM part and the HDD part! Also and or Win.2000?...

How old does a motherboard need to be before you CAN'T install XP? I understand the RAM part and the HDD part! Also and or Win.2000?

A PII mainboard can handle XP with 256 mb RAM.It maybe a little slow but it will run.

I gave a PII away not so long ago with XP Pro on it,a little slow to boot up but it runs fine.
