Hi moley!

I must admit that I'm not sure if this is possible, I am sure though that someone else knows.
What is the brand and type of your notebook?

Hello Molay.

You need to enter BIOS/Setup.

if i understand the question right..........you are wanting to share 1.5 gb of RAM with your VGA? I dont think your laptop will let you share that much RAM it is a setting in your bios, my guess is the most it will let you share is 256mb of ram.

Jelly Bean agrees: Yup I agree on the share amount.

Actually, I'm sure is it possible, my original notebook memory is 1gb, and VGA share 512mb memory that time. And now, when I add 2gb additional RAM (became 3gb now) it share 1,5gb...
I use Acer Aspire 4920 , with ATI Radeon 2400 XT.

I want to change it became 512mb again, I think 1,5gb is too much, making my notebook doesn't run effectively.

could anyone give me step by step instructions?

Restart the computer and then on the post screen it will say "Press ? to enter setup" ? could be F1,F2,Del or another key.

Press the key it tells you to and locate your graphics card.

However lowering the mb on the card could give you lesser graphics performance.

Do you actualy mean that under processes or in Task Manager it shows your graphics card using a lot of what appears RAM?

How are you reading how much RAM the card is using?

Are you possibly reading memory bandwith usage and not how much RAM is dedicated to the card?
