Exclamation I accidently deleted the partition

I accidently deleted a partition on an external USB terabyte drive. I did not format the drive or do anything since the mistake.

How would i go about getting the partition / drive usable without deleting the data and or having to pay someone else to do it for me.

I was thinking about going back into XP instalation by using the XP pro disc and make the terabyte drive back to the same partition that it was. However i've read that i'd need to know the size of the previous partition. the drive as the terabyte USB drive was one partition in the first place. But without reformating it.

As its not my drive and is used as a backdrive for myslef and my brother.

Try these freeware apps at the linkto recover your partition or data recovery.

I have not used either of these tools so cannot say how good they are...

Arctos will know more, but knowing what drive, as in, make/model will help finding out what, if anything, can be done.

When you first got it, was it partioned and/or set up for FAT32 or the NTFS file system?

As you can see... just need a bit more information to help you.

I am this Arctos, didn't you see the Bear avatar and my name alongside it.

My full name is Ursus Arctos, but you can call me Bear if you like.

You have downloaded the demo which will not work by the way.

The link is the bottom one I posted, it also has a howto there as well.

The download for the freeware version is right down the bottom of the page...
