Unhappy Uninstalling second OS / Keyboard problem

Hi,

I'm in a bit of trouble here. After updating the keyboard drivers with a program, I can't use my keyboard, and I need to be able to select the other OS to boot from. There's no response from the keyboard at that time. The numbers and F keys all work, but the letters an arrows, and what not do not. So I think if I can uninstall the second OS, I can fix the keyboard problem. Also, my main keyboard is wireless and it doesn't connect at the time of OS selection, so it does me no good. Oh, and the second OS, the one I don't want, is a lighter version of XP, made for gaming (useless programs and such are removed from it for speed), so I don't really have anything to work with.

Start your computer in Safe Mode, and do a System restore back before you installed the keyboard drivers...

The OS I'm able to boot doesn't have system restore since all "unnecessary" programs and processes have been stripped from it. I can't get it to boot in safe-mode anyway since when I press F8, it simply loads Windows in normal mode.

Ahhhh the joys of stripping out needed system tools, to make light versions.

I cannot think of anything else to help you, short of repartitioning and formatting your drive with GParted and starting fresh.

Make sure you read the instructions regarding burning the iso to make a live a linux cd...

So I just need to burn/mount the image to a disk with say ... Daemon Tools? Then boot it up and run it?

My wired keyboard doesn't work at all; even when Windows is loaded. The wireless one works when Windows it loaded and it doesn't work when the system is rebooting. So I may have a problem when trying to run it.

Forget Daemon Tools you will not be in MS Windows enviroment.

Burn the iso file as per the instructions at GParted's website. Then you will have a self contained live linux operating system that does not rely on any Windows drivers.

You open the CD/DVD Drive put the disk in and reboot the computer, this will then boot up and the GParted screen appears. Then do what needs to be done to get yourself out off the doo.

Easy as that...

It says:
For GParted Live on CD, download the .iso file and burn it as an image to a CD.
What do I need to burn/mount it? I usually use Daemon.
