Question How to change Icon font color?

This is gonna sound real dumb but...

Some how the fonts on my desktop icons now have a coloured background and I can't seem to turn it off. All it gives me is the option to change the colour in the Desktop Properties?

Pls can you advise?

Option number 1:

In XP, you can only change the Icon font color from black to white or white to black by going to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > click on settings under Performance > under Visual Effects tab click Custom, then scroll to the bottom either check/uncheck "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop".

Option number 2:

Another way to change the font color is to use a 3rd party application - Iconoid - Download

If you want to have your computer checked for why the the fonts changed color, recommend you click on the Pre-work link in my signature and follow the directions. Attach/paste the results into this thread with your next reply. If you didn't create the change yourself, this process might find the cause.

Thanks
