Exclamation Multitude of websites won't load

I was playing Half-Life Source earlier and started getting some graphical glitches, followed by a display driver crash, then a system crash. When I rebooted, I got the "This system has recovered from a serious error" message.

Everything seemed fine until I tried loading Steam (content delivery application) again. Didn't load. I tried pinging steampowered.com and got the message "Destination host unreachable". I pinged it on my laptop and got the same error.

Visiting steampowered.com in a browser resulted in a timeout on this computer, but it loaded fine on the laptop. A large number of websites return the same "Destination host unreachable" error on every computer in the network, but load fine on every computer but this one. manual.americasarmy.com and forums.beyondunreal.com are two that come to mind.

I've tried repairing the connection in Windows, but that didn't fix anything. I also restored the system to a point two days ago, but that didn't help either.

I've lost connection and had to reset th modem and router twice tonight but I don't know if that's related to these problems.

Here's a HijackThis log (which, by the way, wouldn't load on the desktop either - I had to download it on the laptop and save the installer to this computer).

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

This does not appear to be a malware problem.

I'm almost certain it isn't malware, just some configuration or setting or something that's wrong.

Okay I just installed Hamachi for a few things and now all of these problems are fixed again. Seeing as Hamachi does some stuff involving your connection I guess that somehow fixed it.

So I tried uninstalling Hamachi and reinstalling, hoping that whatever happened last time will happen again, but it didn't.
