Default Floppy diskette seek failure

When I boot my computer up, the DELL loading screen loads, and then asks me to press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup utility, so i press f1 etc, im able to fully use the computer, but when shutting down it comes up
"cannot continue please check if a disk is inserted correctly or the disk tray is closed on drive A:" i press continue (this message usually pops up about 5 times) and then im able to shut down my computer. although, i dont even have a floppy disk drive..?

Hey there tcgi!

What anti virus are you running?

There are a few that ask about shutting down and looking to the A: drive.

Check the settings on shutdown, and tell it to not look at A:. Doesn't matter if you don't have one.

Your system thinks it does. That would be a BIOS change.

Could you let us know what version of BIOS you have? Make/model of the Dell too.

That will help us help you
