Exclamation Unknown Error message....

Hey guys, everytime I open certain files and sometimes when I open any file, it get this odd error message. I've never seen this before. Now when I go to close, cancel, try again, or continue it does nothing but immediately bring the same window back up. It does this about a dozen times before it goes away. Now whatever I'm trying to open, still opens after it finally goes away, but still something is wrong.

Here is what it looks like:

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try this.
  1. Click Start and then Control Panel.

  2. Click Taskbar and Start Menu.

  3. Click Start Menu.

  4. Click on Customize and then on Clear. Now click OK to close the screen.

Ok, I did that, and now I will wait to see what happens.

Edit for initial problem: I was running a program and in the middle of it, all of a sudden I got that error message and that made my program crash.
(That was before I just did above)

I'll keep this updated. Thank You

Update. I'm still receiving the error, and now its a LOT more frequent. It's causing programs to crash.

The only background I can give, is several days ago, I was installing the drivers for my monitor, and with all the windows still open (for example, main screen of the installer) I ejected the cd. It was finished installing the drivers, I just didn't close the open windows dealing with it before I ejected the cd. After I did that, the windows froze and thats when I first got this error message.
