I am using PagePlusSE as a desktop publishing program, downloaded from the internet. When I open a document, make changes, and try to save it, I get the sharing violation box and have to rename the document to save it (and then go back and delete the original one.) I am using Windows XP, SP2 and Microsoft says this problem was fixed in SP2; however, apparently not in mine. I also use Internet Explorer. Has anyone had this problem in XP Service Pack 2 and solved it? Thanks.

Welcome to PCHF.
I would recommend saving as a different name. Example: Temp, Temp1, Temp2, etc. That way you have a development history and can fall back to a previous version if necessary.
