Every time I boot or reboot my PC the year in windows date is set to 2099 (one time it was set to 2089!?). This creates certification errors in the internet explorer, Media Player does not play etc. Of course when I manually correct the year to 2009 everything is ok (until the next boot). I have checked in the BIOS and the date there is fine. What is the problem? What can I do?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Date and time changes can occur if the cmos battery dies, you could try replacing it. |

Hi - Welcome to PCHF ..............
Off the top of my head: 1. Remove then after a few minutes replace CMOS battery. 2. Are you using any software that is trying to synchronise with some internet site or some application on the PC?
