Exclamation Fresh XP install problem

Hey guys,

I'm doing the initial setup on the new build (or at least trying too), and i'm to the point of the initial windows install.

Once the pc starts the process, i see the blew screen with "windows setup" in regular text at the top and a gray bar on the bottom stating the step its on. Well it begins to start to load many many different things, then it get to the actual 'load windows' and after a couple seconds on that, it changes to another blue screen saying "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent any damage to the computer".

If this would help I get this error number: 0x0000007B

I tried it again, and I get the same message.

Thanks in advance guys.

Thank you guys for the problem awareness.

I'm using an Asus M3N-HT Deluxe.

I have read over the ms guide on this problem, and it keeps coming down to having a floppy drive. Well the problem is, I don't have a floppy drive (and haven't for 10 years). It tells me that I MUST have a floppy to do this, because it will not boot from a usb storage device.

~When I use the windows cd to boot, it gives me that message (listed above).
~When I use the motherboard cd (which has the raid drivers on it) to boot, it takes me to dos and gives me a couple options to create a raid driver disk. Nonetheless on a floppy disk only.

ARGH!!!

Got a floppy drive, used the RAID boot disks, and everything is good to go.

Thanks
