Resolved: .html run as .exe :embarasse

This may sound odd, but basically, I tried to download a file, and wound up downloading the .html page that linked to the file, but with a .exe extension. I know it's the .html file, because if you inspect it with a text editor, it comes up as plaintext html. The problem is, before I realised this, I tried to run the program. Doesn't seem to have done anything, but appears un-delete-able.

From a regular boot, and in safe mode, I'm always greeted with "Cannot delete cf51: It is being used by another person or program.". That kinda scares me, as I don't know why it'd be running from a cold boot.

Hello and welcome. Have a look at this link:
Close Down All Non- Essential Windows Apps with EndItAll [Featured Windows Download] | infosoldier.com

It is a way to kill off all non-essential processes. Once you kill them off you will most likely be able to delete this file.

Alternatively if you do not wish to do this you could use Killbox to delete the file.

Cheers. EndItAll didn't seem to help, and originally, KillBox didn't either ( >< ), but KillBox's delete on restart worked a treat.
