Red face Sfc.exe

Ran this utility on my Win XP SP2 Laptop (upgraded from microsoft update) and it asked for the SP2 disk, which I don't have for multiple reasons (backups destroyed... long story).

How do I restore the the files?

any input/suggestions are appreciated.

This would depend on what software you used,rather short history you told us there.

Could you explain fully what you have done and I am sure one of our Techs will help you.

That's funny... Kinda hard to find right now. I am thinking of just going to win7... or mac(if it weren't so expensive).

The only sugestion I can make is to do the following:http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp

Or to borrow an OEM disk from a friend who has SP2 incorporated into it.
