Alright, I tried everything I possibly could. Here's the rub.

For the past few days I've been searching around the net looking for some solutions but never have approached one that would help me in my situation.

When I turn on Windows XP, I get a "Master Boot Record Error" message, and then it tells me to insert a Floppy Boot Disk. and from the research I've done on the net in the past few days, it seems like I need to do a "fixmbr" command somewhere. Well I bought an external USB Floppy Drive today and made a MS-DOS boot disk from my sister's computer, but the fixmbr command comes out unsuccessful when I tried it-- all it says is "Bad command or file name" in the DOS command prompt.

I'd love to hear any suggestions you guys have for me. I'm DOS-illiterate, but this is the only way I can get out of this mess. Is there a DOS command that lets me log in to windows?
