Default boot without first-time startup screen

Hello!,

My laptop screen is broken, and will only display on an external monitor once windows has fully loaded up.

I recently installed XP via recovery disk, and it is showing the screen which shows the first time you boot XP.

As i can't see what's going on in this screen[external monitor does not show it at all], is there anyway i can cancel this?
mind you.. i can a roughly 3 inch strip of the screen in the middle, so i can sort of see the screen, dragging around fishing for window boxes etc.

Any help is appreciated!

thanks
-Will

Nice dilemma

I first thought of creating an installation answer file but I don't think this would work at all with a manufacturer recovery CD.

I guess (and it's going to be tricky) you could somehow get the same screens up on another PC and use the TAB key to navigate between the fields on your laptop. You're going to have to be really careful tho as one wrong move and you simply won't know where the cursor is...
