Default Where To Get XP Themes?

I was looking at XP themes last night. I downloaded a new boot screen from XP Themes, Vista Themes, XP Logins, XP Boot Screens, Desktop Themes, Wallpapers, Screensavers

But for one it didn't work and secondly it installed Keenfind.com malware onto my PC but its been removed now.

Is there anywhere that is safe to download themes and wallpapers, bootscreens etc for XP?

Or any guide on how to make your own?

Thanks.

Hi Amtech,
MS doesnt support themes for XP anymore, but StyleXP is the software you want, and ThemeXP is where you need to go to download themes etc....
However if you ask me, be happy with XP for what it is, you are just asking for trouble by changing themes and stuff (anyway its only my opinion).
Regards and good luck.

deviantART: where ART meets application! has a great visual styles section, as well as Windows boot skins.

Make sure to patch your uxtheme.dll to use the visual styles if you haven't already.

Ah okay. Thanks guys...sounds like a lot of trouble. Just wanted to make the PC more welcoming and unique. I'll look into Deviant Art. They have some great paintbrushes for Photoshop

hi amtech, you asked about making your own, well as i prefer to do things myself,i made my own on my xp & vista pcs i use different font & colour themes, when i had finished,i saved the themes to my ext hard drive in case of needing to format,i just went to ..control panel - display - appearance - advanced, then just changed colours, fonts & sizes,i hope this is what you meant...
