I am trying to reformat a PC. I put the Windows XP Home Disk in and restart the PC. I hit f10 and choose to boot off of the CD ROM drive. The screen says to press any key to boot from the disk. The keyboard doesn't register during this phase so I cannot boot from the disk and Windows starts normally. How can I reformat this PC when I can't use the keyboard during the startup?

if you are using a usb keyboard, try enableing it inside the CMOS, ifnot you may need to switch to a standard keyboard with a ps/2 plug
