I can't open my other computer. There is a blue screen with the following error: STOP:0x0000007E(0xC000001D,0xF78E57EC,0x78E54E8
What does this mean? How can I fix it?

I didn't upgrade to XP, but did update XP. That was the last thing I did.

How you checked for all you're drivers? to do that, go to start, right-click My computer, move down to properties, click the hardware tab, now click on device manager, now right click on the + sign on the sound card (this looks like a speaker) and right click on the sound card your using, now pick 'Update drivers'.
How much Disc space do you have? have a look at some of the other fixes up there and give them a try (Ask if you need help of course).

I can't get to the start button bacause I can't get past the blue screen. I am afraid to try anything advanced as I don't want to ruin the computer. I know absolutely nothing about computers other than turning them on and off.
