and in addition to the above every 1 out of 6 times i try to log on (at the logon screen) i am actually able to use my keyboard and when i logs on it will immediatly turn off half way . the monitor will turn off and the light goes yellow. for the record i am 100% sure this is software related. this issue is now a good bit of a higher priority because i use that pc for my work and ALL my files and programs that are a must for me to use are oly on that pc. and i cant work with out it. any help is greatly appreciated |

i have an issue that was caused by the resolutinon to another issue. i need to be able to log on to an old account i had on my pc before i rebuilt my registry using recovery console. now everytime i log on im not give a choice of what to log on as or who to log on as and it creates a new account with my name. i have 3 admin accounts and 5 josh accounts
the accounts are listed like this administrator administrator."my pc name" administrator."my pc name".000 administrator."my pc name".000.000 josh josh."my pc name" josh."mypcname".000 and so on i want ONLY the josh account and it to be the administrator. so i want none of the admin accounts and none of the other josh acounts and to be able to log on to the josh account but i want all of the settings in the other accounts. back in the day i knew how to acomplish this but for some reason ( my pc wont cooperate, its almost 1am, ive been up for 2 days trying to get it to work right between all the issues ive had, and it being a long time ago i did it last) i and unable to recall the correct way to accomplish this feat.and i really need to be able to log back on to my original josh account asap. i use my pc for work and that is the ONLY account that can access all my programs and files that i need for working. please please help me -_-. im at the end of my rope and about 4 day behind schedule on my work and my ppl im wokring for are starting to get a little po'ed. |

Try booting in safe mode and do all of the following there: use the security options to take ownership of the hard drive (right click > sharing/security > Security > Advanced [BUTTON]> owner ) with the account you want to use. Then delete any user accounts you dont want in "User accounts" or delete other accounts using control panel > Admin tools > Computer management > Local users and groups > users. Here you should be able to define what is an administrator account and whats not as well.
Before you go and do anything make yourself familiar with all of the options available in this area, as there are so many possible tasks available here and secondly I cant be held responsible if this doesnt work or if it sends you backwards. There is also the possibility that you cant fix this problem no matter what you try. Good Luck
