hey i bought this graphics card and when i play games i get a lot of lag could someone help?

1 gb Vram

AMD athalon 64 X2 Dual core processor 5200+
2.61 GHz

FPS is the problem, when i play a game it works fine then out of no where it lags for like about 40 seconds (bad tho) on games like gta sa, gears of war, unreal tournament, fallout 3.

It may be worth checking the temps inside your case, both idle and in game, to make sure your components overheating aren't the cause of the problem. Also ensure your graphics drivers are updated, and you have the latest version of directx installed.
You can use Speedfan to monitor your temperatures, find that here - SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
