Default HP recovery

In the past I have used the go back feature on my HP. However this time I used a "Windows Care" software to clean my hard drive. It seems to have removed all the log files and now no recovery is possible from the normal features.

I do have raid set up and I can boot into safe mode. When I do a msconfig under "run" it says file is not found.

I did a restore point on one of my registry cleaners and now I get a black screen on regular boot. Previous it just keep cycleing.

I have some disk that I copied from the hard drive. However since I can boot into safe mode I am wondering if there is other options? I have a bunch of software on my hd.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Distinctedge and Welcome to PCHF

Another option is trying to boot into your Hidden Recovery Partition. Try pressing F11 at POST. Lets just hope this "Windows Care" hasn't wiped your Recovery Sector clean as well.

Also if you have any sort of recovery CD's/DVD's try and use them.

Hope this helps.
