| Windows XP/2000 - Can't do clean install posted in the Operating Systems forums; Hi - PC's are soooo frustrating. I put my XP disk in, F8, boot to it, setup installs files, press enter to continue - says setup did not find any ... |

Can't do clean install
Hi - PC's are soooo frustrating. I put my XP disk in, F8, boot to it, setup installs files, press enter to continue - says setup did not find any disk drives installed... Yet here's a shot of disk management page... I wish to rewrite the C drive - the other drive is going to be a storage drive. Please advise. Thanks all - Shep

I'd suggest the SATA hard disk needs some drivers before your "standard?" XP CD will see the drive.
Could you be a bit more detailed on the HD name & model?

Read it - understand it - don't see the drivers in the list at Hitachi - can't seem to locate them anywhere.
