Default Program transfer from one computer to another

I am looking for programs that help to transfer a program from one computer to another without doing all the installation process anew.

So far I found only four of them.

PC Mover - paid, moves all operation system, programs, files, settings from old OS to new.

Move Me - free - do the same as PC mover

PickMeApp - free - in Beta - transfer programs separately

Windows Easy Transfer Companion by Microsoft - transfer programs separately, was in beta but now is taken down

Any other suggestions? It seems to me that there should be way more programs doing that.

I find it is preferable to do a clean install of any programme, than using file transfer software.

It takes a bit longer, but the end result is what matters. You will not be importing corrupt registry entries over for an example...

On one hand you undoubtedly right. Clean slate is always good. I like it myself. On the other hand - clean slate takes time. And often you need to find hell-know-where and install anew lots of small applications.

So nowadays I rather try to keep work to a bare minimum unless the system is becoming non-operable cause of huge amount of installed junk...

Hi,

Taking an image of your PC (once you have the "core apps" installed) can save you a lot of time when it comes to a fresh re-build

I know one program that offers a simple way to establish a reliable remote connection between two computers. It's called PC File Transfer. With help of this program you can transfer files in any direction. But I don't know exactly if it transfers software.

If the computers are served by the same router, just click on the file(s) to be moved/copied and click on the destination. If you have corupt files or infected files there are issues above and beyond simple file sharing that must be addressed.

Checkl if the program you want to transfer has an option to save or export it's setting. Many programs are able to do it. So, if it hasm you only need to re-install the program on the second PC and load the settings file.
