I admit, it was definitely my fault for not catching the fine print on the download page, but with a separate heading for Win2k, perhaps there would be less confusion, as I said. For one thing, IE 6 SP2 won't run on Win2k, nor can system restore points be created, backing up the registry is more complicated, as well as many other settings which can be accessed easily through the XP gui, but not so easily in win2k.
Hey, it's just a suggestion and I would certainly understand the work involved in moving existing threads, there's over two hundred *pages* after all. But there again, a leaner category for us win2k users would be nicer than having to wade through all the XP threads for useful info. Maybe even a few less threads would be created if same issues didn't have to be addressed over and over again simply due to the inability to find the info with a search limited to win2k issues.
