Default Boot Failure

Hello! I'm having a VERY frustrating issue. This computer works fine until i turn it off. When i turn it on it gets hung up on "memory runs at dual channel interleaved" and then it finally goes to the next screen, shows the IRQ info, and then says "INVALID SYSTEM DISK, REPLACE AND" etc, i'm sure we all know that message. The only way i can -SOMETIMES- get it to turn on, is to pull the power cable from the HDD and use the other one. Sometimes it doesn't turn on still. I switch back to the original cable and it boots up. This time, however, I switched them around 8 times before it finally turned on (thats 8 times unhooking it, pulling it out, opening it up, switching cables, closing it up, and hooking it back up.) I have a computer i can't turn off without having to spend up to an hour sometimes to get it to turn on, and that sucks. =( anyone have any possible idea here? i almost just threw it out of the window.

And thanks for putting up with my very agitated sounding post. =)

(i'll just post the order reciept for my parts, so ignore the "1x" and "retail" and all that)

*EDIT* I've had this computer for probably 6-7 months now, and it's been happening since i first turned it on. I usualy leave it running for months.. which i HATE doing.

Default Re: Boot Failure

Here's Microsoft's fix for that error "Invalid System Disk" message if you are using Win XP.

An "Invalid System Disk" Error Message When You Start the Computer

Another one for Vista if you have recently installed it, which may be of some help...
