I know that I posted about this same problem before, but this time it's worse and won't fix itself.
I run my PC for long periods of time and when I reboot it, it loads the Windows screen, but then reboots itself and the process iterates. It used to loop through the process until it finally booted, but this time it's not working.
I cannot boot it in Safe mode, which could probably be fixed with a normal reboot like it was the first time this happened.
I cannot run a repair installation for some reason. I'm unable to get to the screen via instructions I found in a there here a few weeks back.
I just blew it out with the air compressor thinking that it may have been a dust buildup, but no, it wasn't the case.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Brandon

Unplug everything except your power cable, Keyboard, video cable from the back.
If you installed a new CD drive recently, unplug that from inside the case. Then turn it on and see if that helps. Also, have you tried pressing F8 repeatedly after you turn it on. A screen will come up and you should be able to select 'Last Known Good Configuration' |

That's exactly what's plugged in.
The "F8" screen comes up every time and I've tried that option a few times already with no luck.

I'm assuming that there's a problem with my boot file(s) because I can't run the repair installation of Windows.

Gosh sorry V3x.
Does your hard drive show in BIOS and on the post screen? What errors do you receive if any? JB.

It shows up in the BIOS, but the primary doesn't show up. My HDD shows up as the secondary or whatever it is. I only have one HDD installed.
So it looks something like: 1. Not installed 2. MAXTOR ... I'm currently using my second HDD, which I formatted and installed a fresh copy of Windows on for a temporary solution. I still really need to get the other one up and running. Hopefully you get what I'm saying. Thanks, JB.
