Default PC keeps rebooting

Enter text here.My PC froze twice, one I just restarted, and second time it started going into PC shut down improperly screen.

From there I have the Safe mode/Normal/Last configurations options, but whatever I choose the PC shows the windows loading screen and then restarts.

I had similar problem on laptop, and I tried taking both sticks of ram out one at a time to see if it was one of them but still had same problem.

Tried to switch power supply, only difference between is mine had 22 pins while other one had 20, but still got same result, it rebooted.

Is this probably a hardware problem? What else can I do?

Thanks

Ok, finished the chkdsk /r late last night, then did chkdsk /p again and Windows foudn errors in one or more volume again, but I could log into windows and the PC functioned normally.

This morning I turn my PC on for about 30 or 40 minutes, I leave the room for a few minutes, come back and the PC has restarted itself....

It goes into windows again and working like fine now...but going to see if it restarts again by itself, if it does what is the problem?

I think you may have a failing HD there...
If you ran Chkdsk/r and you are still gettint errors-- it may be a bad sector or more-- or the drives read/write functions are not working properly.

To give the drive another test... please b download/run HD tune:
HD Tune it is FREE

look under the FAQ's Health screen for indications of physical issues with the drive.

Post back with results, please.
