Windows XP/2000 - ipconfig problem posted in the Operating Systems forums; I dont know what section to put this under but whenever i run the command ipconfig /all i get an error stating "ipconfig.exe is not a valid win 32 application."...

I dont know what section to put this under but whenever i run the command ipconfig /all i get an error stating "ipconfig.exe is not a valid win 32 application."

Hi there,

I'd suggest running Winsock XP Fix to see if that resolves the problem.

Make sure to create a registry backup before hand just in case

Next step, assuming XP operating system


goto Startup - Run and enter:

sfc /scannow (with the space)

sfc = system file checker and restores essential XP files to their correct identity. If it finds errors you will need your original CD disk.
